Candied Bacon Crackers

These crunchy sweet and salty candied bacon crackers are so easy to make and are such a crowd pleasing appetizer. You need to put these candied bacon appetizers on your holiday menu!

I think we can all appreciate a budget friendly option for when company comes over. This appetizer ticks that bucket, but also feels nostalgic and is delicious.

Candied Bacon Crackers

Ingredients:

  • 1 sleeve of Toppables crackers (appprox 35 crackers

  • 1/2 a pkg bacon

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1/3 cup bbq rub (recipe below)

BBQ Dry Rub

  • ¼ cup brown sugar

  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt

  • 2 teaspoons black pepper

  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard

  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

  • ½ teaspoon celery salt

  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F.

  2. Lay the crackers face up on a large rack over a baking sheet. Cut the package of bacon in thirds (or to match the size of the cracker (or cut pieces individually)

  3. Top each cracker with a pinch of brown sugar and a sprinkle of the BBQ dry rub.

  4. Place the crackers into the oven for 15-20 minutes. Allow the crackers to cool before serving.
