Christmas Spiced Nuts
Nothing says ‘The Holidays’ more than the sweet and spicy smell of delicious spiced nuts wafting through the house. 🥜
These mixed bar nuts have a perfect combination of cinnamon, ginger and brown sugar warmth, with the just-right-heat of the cayenne pepper. They are easy to make, delicious to snack on, and filled with nutrition.
These also make a wonderful gift to have on hand for quick hostess and neighbour gifts.

Christmas Spiced Nuts
Ingredients:
4 tablespoons dark brown sugar, packed
1/2 tablespoon kosher salt
1-3/4 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (these are spicy; use less if desired)
3/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 tablespoons water
1-1/2 teaspoons light corn syrup
3-1/2 cups roasted, unsalted nuts (any combination of cashews, pecans and almonds)
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 275 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix all ingredients except for nuts in a medium bowl. Add to the nuts and toss until evenly coated. Bake for 35 - 40 minutes, stirring once halfway. Stir nuts with spatula, then carefully slide or lift parchment and nuts off hot baking sheet onto countertop and let cool completely.
Break up nuts with your hands. Store in an airtight container.
Beware! These won’t last long if you leave them out on your counter!
