Welcome to A Lovenote.
A weekly digest where I say hello and share. You’ll find things you can cook this week + some things you didn’t ask for but might enjoy. I’m so glad you are here!
Happy Super Bowl Sunday!
I have less than ZERO interest in the Superbowl, and I know nothing about the sport aside from the fact that Taylor Swift’s boyfriend is involved. But I am ALL IN on the celebration! For me, it’s really about the food. I’ve rounded up some of my all-time favourite recipes for you to try this afternoon while you settle in and watch the game.
How was your week? How are you handling the current events dumpster fire? This week was a weird one for me. Monday was AWFUL. The world felt so heavy. I felt broken and defeated. But then I took my daughter north to the ski hills mid-week and between the fresh air, the change of scene and her joy in her sport, things felt optimistic again. Despite doing all the things - managing stress, eating well, limiting screen time, being mindful about how I consume the news, managing your own inner landscape is hard. I oscillate between wanting to be informed and being so inundated with information it feels like my head will detach from my body.
I try always find the good, the light and I strive to be that person who offers steadiness and hope. So I will continue to do that here in our weekly Lovenote. I hope this is a place that you can escape to.
“Be the person who gives someone the relief of knowing that the world ain’t so bad after all.”
This comes from Cleo Wade’s book, Heart Talk.
The potential for our love to create a macro impact on the world is based on the amount of love we are able to put into our micro connections. Because all of our actions hold energy, everything we do has the power to affect another person. How do you treat others? How do you talk to people? Whether it is your best friend or a stranger, be someone who sees them, who affirms their dignity, and who honors their humanity. Be the person who gives someone the relief of knowing that the world ain’t so bad after all.
Sending you into this week of Games and Valentine’s Day with so much love.

These easy protein peanut butter and jam cups are the perfect midday treat. Rich and creamy peanut butter center, with a dollop of sweet jam hidden inside, they taste so good you won't even be able to tell these are packed with protein!
