My most loved tools and kitchen appliances

I am certainly not here to encourage over consumption. I think we all agree we don’t need much more. But some of you have asked me what I like and what I recommend so I thought I would write them all down in one spot for us all. If you already own a spatula, please don’t go run to buy another one. I just wanted to share with you the products that make the time in my kitchen easier, or that bring me joy.

This is a fun link filled post with my honest reviews. A linky-poo-post, if you will! If you find something on this list that you love and end up buying, please consider buying one of my Made-for-you-Menus to use your new products with!

Great Knives. There are lots of great knives out there but these are the ones that changed the game for me. They are razor sharp and take my full concentration for risk of injury. But the slice and dice with ease and look stunning on their stand.

A Microplane. For garlic, ginger, cheese or chocolate, this is the Holy Grail of getting sh*t done in the kitchen. It’s a great price and worth it. You’ll have it forever.

My Air Fryer(s). Especially in the warmer months, I use this baby on repeat. It’s so much faster and easier than preheating the oven. I own a double basket air fryer that is currently sold out (but the Ninja one is great) and this one is super aesthetic and get the job done!

Good Frying Pans. I desperately need new frying pans but was gifted these TFal frying pans for the cabin and they are really great. They work on induction stovetops. I do wish they came with lids.

Food Processor. This is a high ticket item and I would recommend saving up for a good one. It makes a difference. I got my Kitchen Aid Food Processor as a wedding gift and it still works like new after (ahem) almost 20 years! The new ones are more compact than mine and are a great investment.

Straight Edge Wooden Spoon.

Cast Iron Dutch Oven. I originally bought this in October of 2020 and use it almost every day. Especially since beginning my sourdough journey, this Dutch Oven has been a workhorse in my kitchen. In hindsight, I would not buy white again. It comes in adorable colours. The white is hard to keep clean.

Lemon Squeezer. Whatever your citrus job is, this will make it easier. From my morning warm lemon water to all the marinades, this tool is used on the daily.

Tongs/Tweezers I didn’t realize how much a need a set or two of these until I got to the chalet and the only set was broken. These are amazing for tossing salads, pastas, flipping bacon, extracting hot items from the air fryer…..

A couple of good cutting boards. I’m saving up for this one, which I absolutely love. I bought this trio of plastic cutting boards at Costco and prefer to use them when I’m cutting meat. I put them into the dishwasher to sterilize. They have rubber on the bottom to prevent them from sliding around.

Mixing Bowls. These are one of the most popular items in my Amazon Storefront. I love the air tight lids, so the bowls can double as food storage.

A High Speed Blender. Whether it’s a Nutribullet (low) or a Vitamix (high) having a high speed blender to help you is key to efficiency in the kitchen.

Meat Thermometer. This took me a little while to finally come around to, so if I can save you any failed attempts at cooking meat, I would highly recommend you grab one of these. They are relatively inexpensive and can seriously help you decide if the meat should come out of the oven or not.
