Perfect Jammy Eggs
Am I the only one who finds getting the eggs just right really, really hard?! There is nothing more disappointing than when you want a soft and running egg, only to crack it open to find that it’s hard as a rock! Well, look no further because after a TON of trial and error (and several dozen sacrificed eggs), I’ve cracked (ahem, excuse the pun) the code on creating a perfect jammy egg!
Perfect Jammy Eggs
Ingredients:
4 eggs (or however many you are making)
water to boil
Directions:
Bring a large pot of water to a full, rolling boil! Once boiling, we’ll gently lower eggs into the water using a spoon to help prevent cracking.
Boil the eggs (fully submerged in the water) for 7 minutes and 30 seconds. Set a timer! Meanwhile, prepare ice bath.
When the timer goes off, transfer the eggs to your ice bath. Leave them in the cold water for 3 minutes. Set a timer! This will make them easier to peel!
Now enjoy these on toast, in salads or on bowls. However you like your eggs, this guide will not lead you astray!
How do you like your eggs? Please share your comments if you try this method. I love to hear from you!
