pumpkin-spice-latte

Are you feeling the fall vibes yet?   Cozy vibes are kicking in everywhere… the pumpkins are popping up, we are planning our annual apple picking outing and yes….the PSL are back in full force!

Let me show you how you can easily make this autumnal treat at home.

Homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte

Ingredients:

  • I cup of brewed coffee

  • 1/2 tsp pumpkin spice blend, you can purchase this or make it at home.  My recipe can be found here.

  • 1-2 tsp pumpkin puree

  • 1 1/2 tsp maple syrup

  • A dash of milk

  • More milk frothed in a frothed or with a hand mixer to pour on top

Directions:

  1. Brew your coffee.

  2. To a blender, add your coffee, ½ tsp of the pumpkin spice blend, 1-2 tsp pure pumpkin puree, 1 ½ tbsp maple syrup, a dash of milk and blend on high.

  3. Pour into a mug and enjoy with frothed milk on top and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

For the Pumpkin Spice Mix

Did you know that most of the ‘pumpkin’ flavour in pumpkin spice from from the spice?  It’s true.  Pumpkins on their own are a little bland.   It needs some warming TLC from the spice mix to live up to it’s potential!

This is a quick and easy pumpkin spice blend that you can whip up at home to avoid a trek to the grocery store this fall!

This recipe creates only a small amount - perfect for a couple of baking projects - but if you are planning on baking up a storm this season, you can easily multiply the recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon

  • 1 tsp ground ginger

  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg

  • 1 tsp ground allspice or cloves

Just mix these together!
