January 5, 2025
Welcome to A Lovenote.
A weekly digest where I say hello and share. You’ll find things you can cook this week + some things you didn’t ask for but might enjoy. I’m so glad you are here!
Let’s make this year doable.
We all know what we're supposed to do stay healthy, right?
Walk 10,000 steps a day.
Eat 100 grams of protein and 30 grams of fiber.
Cut out processed foods.
Weight lift 3x a week.
Exercise daily.
Sleep 8 hours a night.
Drink half your body weight in water 😉😉.
etc, etc, etc….
Great advice! But if I’m being honest, sometimes just hearing it causes overwhelm. Don’t get me wrong—these things are amazing for your health. But for most of us? Not realistic.
I’ve got kids in school. I spend half my day chauffeuring them places. I’ve got teenagers who keep me up late, a career to build, a house to clean, meals to cook, and laundry… let’s not even go there. And I know you’re juggling just as much.
But still, the calendar year end, as much as it is an arbitrary man made date, with so many people committing to possibilities and goals, it does hold a certain magic. That is why, for me, I’m jumping on the bandwagon but I’m doing it a little differently. I’m embarking on a gentle January with my 10-Day Winter Wellness challenge. It’s small, doable shifts that I can work towards. Little wins that will move me forward towards my wellness goals. And doing it with all of you alongside with me….that’s where the magic comes in.
I’m moving forward with intention, grace and purpose. Some days I’ll hit all the goals. But likely most, it might just be one or two. But either way, I’m giving myself grace and space to know that I’m moving in the right direction. We start tomorrow. I hope you’ll join me!

What caught my eye this week …
HABITS Leading up to the 10 Day Winter Wellness Challenge, I’m going to be focussing on getting 10,000 steps in every day, getting sunlight into my eyes in the morning and staying hydrated with my electrolytes. (use my code Lovestory15).
I am reinstating my meditation practice. We all know it’s a science backed practice that improves our health in so many ways. But here’s my hack: I give myself permission to do my meditations while walking. I pop my airpods in, and mindfully walk and meditate. Please don’t judge. Give it a try and let m know how it goes for you.
LISTENING. I recorded this “Fresh Start” meditation as a little ‘prequel’ to the 10-Day Winter Wellness Reset. I thought I would share it here with you. I hope you can find a quiet and cozy corner to listen take a few moments for yourself. Let this gentle reset help you release what no longer serves you and plant the seeds for your fresh start.
MY 2025 HEALTH and WELLNESS PRIORITIES, cont….
Hydration, hydration, hydration. This is a non negotiable. When I introduced a daily electrolyte into my life about a year ago, my energy, mood, skin and gut all improved. My favourite is HYDRATE by AgeQuencher. You can use my code LOVESTORY15 for 15% off.
Beauty. I am not someone who spends too much time caring for her skin but I am going to invest in some tools and products this year to add to my minimal routine. I am always open to suggestions!
Journaling. I feel called to start journaling (something I’ve resisted for ages) and was given a Five Minute Journal for Christmas. I am going to add this to my cherished morning routine.
Reading. I have always loved self-help books. I am getting back into the practice of self-discovery and development. I’m starting with Quiet and Busy: How to Thrive in a World of Too Much.
Do you have any tried and true ways of resetting at the onset of a new year? Please reply to this email and let me know!
Remember, January is asking us to to rest. The real sprint will come later.
Wishing you a magical, slow start and can’t wait to see what this new year brings us.

I would LOVE to hear from you! Please let me know what is on your mind and how I can help!
These easy protein peanut butter and jam cups are the perfect midday treat. Rich and creamy peanut butter center, with a dollop of sweet jam hidden inside, they taste so good you won't even be able to tell these are packed with protein!
