Lemon Ginger Turmeric Wellness Elixir

🍋Lemon: Lemon is an excellent source of Vitamin C and is essential for a healthy immune system.
🍊 Ginger: This fiery root calms inflammation, aids digestion, and can ease nausea. Ginger is also known for its immune-boosting properties and its ability to soothe ache-y muscles.
🧡 Turmeric: A natural anti-inflammatory, turmeric is a powerhouse of antioxidants. It may reduce inflammation, promote heart health, and contribute to overall vitality.
Lemon Ginger Turmeric Wellness Elixir
Ingredients:
3 small oranges, cut to size for your juicer (if using a blender, peel first)
3 lemons, cut to size for your juicer (cut off the rind if using a blender)
1/4 cup-ish chunk of ginger
1/4 cup-ish pieces of turmeric
To serve, black pepper and a little bit of olive oil.
Directions:
JUICER: Add all the ingredients to a blender and process.
BLENDER: Add the peeled oranges and lemons to a blender and whiz. Then add ginger and turmeric. Blend on highest speed for 30 seconds. Add a little water if the blender is getting stuck. Strain through a cheese cloth or old dish towel to remove the pulp. Be mindful that the turmeric stains!
For Serving: Divide the elixir between glasses. Top with a crack of black pepper and a little olive oil (the fat helps improve the absorption of the turmeric)
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
*This made enough for 2 sick people to sip on throughout the day.
