Happy Sunday Monday, Lovers!

I am sending this a little tardy today as I was immersed in The ‘Pause Effect Weekend Retreat this past weekend and having the most inspirational time…I couldn’t pull myself away!

We hosted our very first ‘Pause Effect Retreat for women in peri/menopause and I’m not sure if you can feel it…. but I’m vibrating so high….I want to tell you all about it and yet, I’m not quite sure how to properly put into words what happened this weekend. You guys….It was MAGIC.

11 women gathered to learn how to nourish our bodies and souls and move mindfully through this life stage, but what really happened between us was nothing short of amazing. We left each other with tears in our eyes as we went back into our lives wholly renewed. Realizing that this life phase is not about losing anything. It’s not about death or irrelevance, but after years (decades!) of pouring out, building, being for others, this next stage is about women becoming the truest, most powerful version of themselves. Unapologetically. I have shivers. It truly is was a beautiful thing to witness.

If you couldn’t join us this weekend, consider taking 10 minutes today to think about how you want to move forward in this season of your life. Find some stillness, maybe try this meditation and consider all that you have endured, accomplished, built and been. And perhaps, just maybe, you are moving into the most meaningful stage of your life. In these moments of stillness, you might just find the beauty you’ve been too busy to notice. Because slowing down and choosing you isn’t wasting time—it’s giving yourself the gift of experiencing life in its quietest, most meaningful form.

And if you would like to be notified about the next retreat, let us know here and we’ll be sure to reach out!

Let’s dive into today’s newsletter, shall we?

What caught my eye this week

READING Margo’s got Money Trouble I needed a nice, light read and this one I enjoyed so much more than I thought I would! I just downloaded Secluded Cabin Sleeps Six, by Lisa Unger because it’s spooky season and it felt appropriate!

HABITS. I really love the Superhuman app, which provides a type of meditation called activations - these are designed to be listened to while you are busy doing other things - cooking, walking, getting ready in the morning. Here is a case for how micro-meditations can bring more calm to you life.

SHOPPING We had a buyer for a large retail outlet attend the retreat this weekend and she was saying that barrel denim/jeans are going to continue to be hot this season. She also said oversized tops are big still. I’ll do a little shopping this week and report back with what I find next weekend!

We appreciate you being here! Are you enjoying these emails? Please share with a friend and let me know what you want to see more of!

You can catch up on last week’s Lovenote here.

SCROLLING If you dread daylight savings time like I do, try these tactics to embrace the change.

And so many of you were asking about my sunglasses in this reel. They are CHIMI. Here is the link.

SWOONING this house is making me very excited for the holiday season. Halloween is around the corner and I dread it. I’d like to just bypass to Christmas, please and thank you.

COOKING I made the most divine Lemony Salmon with leek pesto over a bed of brown rice with feta this past weekend for the retreat and it was delish! Will write up the recipe to share on the blog this week! Stay tuned for that.

If you are into Halloween (I am not) and want some seasonal things to make, here are 31 Recipes to try!
