Crispy Airfryer Chicken Wings

Airfryer Chicken Wings are a game day essential appetizer

Chicken wings and football season go hand in hand. You are going to LOVE these wings - full of crispy goodness and a just-right heat to have you reaching for seconds and thirds!

I was seriously surprised by how easy these were to make a home and no, you don’t really even need the airfryer - it just cuts down on time.

I used both drumsticks and wings and the recipe was fantastic.

These are finger-lickin’ good!

Crispy Air fryer Chicken Wings

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoon cornstarch

  • 1 tbsp corn meal

  • 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp pepper

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

  • 2 lb chicken wings

  • cooking spray

Wing Sauce

  • ¾ cup buffalo sauce

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 1 tablespoon fancy molasses

Directions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375F. For conventional oven, preheat to 400F.

  2. In a food-safe, large plastic bag, combine cornstarch, cornmeal, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder and onion powder. Seal the bag and then shake to mix everything together.

  3. Place 5 wings at a time into the bag and give it a good shake to coat each wing. Place the coated wings on a plate or on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper until all wings have been coated. Spray the wings with cooking spray

  4. Air fry for 18 minutes, shaking 1/2 way through or bake for 25 minutes, flip the wings and put back into the oven for another 25 mins.

  5. While the wings are cooking, make the wing sauce by combining the hot sauce, the butter and the molasses.

  6. Once done cooking, serve the wings with the wing sauce (you can drizzle the sauce over the wings or serve it on the side). These are also delicious served with ranch or blue cheese dressing.
