How to Make Mornings Easier

Busy mornings often leave little room for elaborate meal prep, which is why these pizza roll-ups are so practical. You can assemble and air fry them the night before, then simply pop them into a lunch box in the morning. They taste great warm or at room temperature, so you don’t have to worry about reheating. If your kids have a long lunch period, these roll-ups hold up well and won’t get soggy like some other options might.

Can I Freeze and Store Pizza Roll Ups?

Yes, you can freeze homemade pizza rolls for future use. After air frying, let them cool completely, then store them in an airtight container or freezer bag. Reheat them in the air fryer or oven for a quick snack next time.

Air fryer pizza roll ups are the BEST 10 minute lunch idea that the whole family will love. Serve them with extra dipping sauce and store extras in the freezer.

This recipe makes 10 pizza roll ups

What you’ll need: Air Fryer

Easy Air Fryer Pizza Roll Ups

  • 10 tortillas

  • 5 mozzarella cheese strings

  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce

  • (optional) 20 pieces of turkey pepperoni or regular pepperoni

  • cooking spray or olive oil

Directions:

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400F.

  2. Arrange the tortillas on the counter. If necessary, warm the tortillas for 15-20 seconds in the microwave - this will make them more malleable. Slice each cheese string in 1/2, vertically/lengthwise.

  3. Arrange 1 piece of cheese in the middle of each tortilla. Spoon about 1 tbsp of pizza sauce or marinara over top of the cheese string. If using pepperoni, arrange those under the cheese string. Roll all the ingredients up and repeat with the remaining tortillas.

  4. Add the tortillas to the air fryer, seam side down, and spray with a little olive oil or cooking spray. Air fry for 5-8 minutes, until golden brown. Carefully remove from the air fryer and enjoy right away. These taste delicious with a little extra pizza sauce or marinara for dipping.
