I am so excited to share this recipe for Whipped Feta Dip with Hot Honeywith you! The combo of the subtly spicy sweet honey and the velvety whipped feta and cream cheese combo is too good to keep to myself. You are going to love this one and want to have it on hand all summer long!

I hope I’m not too late to the Hot Honey trend! I’m usually the last to the trends but I’m so glad I caught this one! Her sweet heat is the most perfect balance to the saltiness of our most favourite cheese: feta (shhhh….please don’t tell burrata I just said that!). Whipping cheese has become a revelation for me, making it smooth and even more delicious. I wish I could personally thank whoever first thought to put cheese in a blender! Don’t you agree that most cheeses taste better whipped? Brie, cottage cheese, feta—I could go on...

How to serve Whipped Feta with Hot Honey

There are so many ways to enjoy this Whipped Feta dip! I had a hard time not eating it with a spoon! But serve with veggies, crackers, pita bread, or on toast or on tomatoes…..I can’t wait for you to try this one!

Whipped Feta Dip with Hot Honey

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup feta

  • 1/4 cup sour cream

  • 2 oz cream cheese

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • zest and juice of 1/2 a lemon

  • 1 tbsp hot honey

  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

  • a couple of sprigs of fresh dill

Directions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a food processor. Puree until smooth. Taste and see if you need more of anything! If I feel like it is too smooth I’ll add some more feta and blend again.

  2. Serve!
