My Post Workout Smoothie
I love a smoothie. Not only are they are a quick and filling meal, they are also easy to clean up! With our fall weather so warm and lovely, I’ve been on a post workout smoothie kick lately and this one is my go-to.
I'm someone that tries to move my body every single day and find that when I do, my mind is more clear, I have more energy, and I just generally feel happier.
This smoothie it gives you everything you need to fuel you up and keep you full for awhile. It has healthy fat from the avocado and fibre from the the spinach and omegas from the flax seeds. So whether it is a meal or a snack, you can count on lots of protein and energy.
Post Workout Smoothie
Ingredients:
1 cup unsweetened almond milk (more if needed)
1/4 avocado
1 heaping cup of frozen mango chunks
1 handful of spinach
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
1 tsp ground flax seeds
handful of ice (to thicken, if needed)
Directions:
Blend together until smooth! I like a thicker smoothie, so add more ice if needed. Top with cinnamon (optional) and enjoy!
